I just realized WWTS has a "You Guess It" contest on Monday Nights. If you bet a minimum of $25 on the Monday Night game, you can enter the contest.

If you successfully predict the final score of the game, you win $5,000.

There are certain scores that come up more often than others, like 17, 14, 20, 21, 24 etc. as compared with 9, 22, etc.

Pretty good deal. If you play it enough, you'll eventually win the $5K.

Assuming a guy hits 50% on his Monday Night Plays, the entry fee is $1.25 to win $5,000. This falls into the no-brainer category.

Try,

I just noticed it today. I will play the same final score over and over again. Eventually, this final WILL come in.

27-24

I shouldn't have posted this here because now eveyone will be playing it and they will lose more money with this promo and then it will be gone.

I think using a reasonable score tailored to the total has a better chance ! If the total was 33 with a spread of 10, maybe 21-14 would be more reasonable ?

Everyone will have their own methods of picking final scores. I will just pick the favorite = 27 and the dog = 24 every time until it eventually hits. Hasn't hit this season.

This final score has paid twice on a Monday night over the last twenty years. 1999 & 2000 were both winning years. Just figure the entry fee is $1.25 X 17 entries per season = $21.25 per year. 20 years X $21.25 = $425. The payoff is $10,000 per twenty years....assuming you pick the correct final once a decade.

As long as you aren't shooting yourself in the foot with ridiculous long shot finals, like 19-12, the odds aren't all that bad.

Actually, this has been the Monday Night final four times since 1985, but two of them were upsets.

Like I said, a no brainer all the way! I honestly don't expect this contest to be around much longer. It is just too good.

If more than one person pick the same score and it hits, do they split the 5k?

Hard to believe no one has picked it.

I called CS earlier today to ask about that. They said if you get the final score right, you win $5,000. I didn't push them to find out what happens if there are more than one winner. If it was a pot, they probably would have said something to that effect. There is nothing on the website about splitting the winnings either.

Let's let this thread die now, before WWTS realizes what a bad bet this is for them.

Or just take the most common score in the NFL over the past 25 years...not sure what that is though..

My guess 21-17

I just looked at the most common team totals on Monday nights for the last 14 years or so. 27 & 24 are the most common team scores. Then I back tested to see how I'd have done since 1985 simply assigning the favorite 27 and the dog 24...two wins in two decades. Not bad, especially considering the entry fee.

You have to assume the book will always have the contest too...but either way it seems like a great free shot, for next to nothing.

Is there a rollover?

Thanks Royalfan. That is a very interesting thread. I will have to give that one some thought.

I can already see the problem...running between 45% & 55% is the norm. Unless, of course, you follow Phil Steele. He is either HOT or COLD. Not much middle ground with that guy.

Yes. I asked WWTS CS if it is a Bonus Play bonus or a cash bonus. They said it is a cash bonus with a 1X rollover.

I am only 36. Unless WWTS pulls the promotion, and assuming I live to something close to my life expectancy, there is no way I go to my grave with a net loss on this contest.

Again...let's let this thread die. I really don't think WWTS realizes what a bad bet this really is for them.

if 6 people have 27-24 then is it a 6 way split?

Also you dont see the number of poeple and the guesses, if you hit it it could become a magic 16 people hit it this week and you get $155.50

WWTS is ok for sports..

BUT WATCH OUT FOR THEIR CASINO BONUSES.

I got the 100 percent bonus. Lost my original deposit and the bonus. Deposited some more money, tried to cashout and they told me I needed to clear the bonus. Even after I had already lost it on the prior deposit? So essentially they wanted me to clear a bonus that was gone and held it against my funds when I went to withdraw.

Nowhere in the terms did it mention that if you zero out your balance you still have to meet the rollover requirements.
