Cardinals are a team that learns from their mistakes and studies the pitcher.

They saw Oswalt and have studied him. Make no mistake about it, Cards will hammer him tonight.

Lot's of people forgeting about this.

You got some stats to back that up?

Here is the stats of one unnamed NL Central starter in his 4 starts against STL this season:

1. 8.2 innings, 1ER
2. 9 innings, 1 ER
3. 6 innings, 0 ER
4. 9 innings, 2 ER

They didn't study him too well. Another guy with nasty stuff and a heavy slider. Know who this is?

No stats just common sense. Not that stats don't exist.

Did you see the interviews after game 5? Cardinal players were talking about how they finally figured out lidge after seeing him a few times.

What did you expect them to say? That they were clueless as to what to do? Easy to say after a rally.

Baseball guy, the total on this game is 7. Nobody is "hammering" anybody, least of all Oswalt. I like St Lou under 3' runs +110. GL2U

When I come back in the 6th inning and it is 8-1 we shall see.

I'm not buying that Oswalt gets hammered either. This looks to be a low scoring game with the winner probably being that can move the runners over and executes best.

Oh please. Pujols can hit anybody, no problem there, but who else did anything? Fine, Eckstein hit a seeing eye grounder, and Edmonds was fortunate he got a few balls and a call cuz his one swing was awful. Anybody but Albert and they're not scoring off Lidge.

I'm one of the few that will agree with Baseballl guy here as I see a 7-2 St Louis win. Oswalt may only go 5 to 6 innings tonight. Mulder while his health has been a question recently will dominate tonight as keep the ball low and away(Mulder specialty) has been shown(game 5)to really keep the Astros guessing during pitch count.Apple
