yea a good player can make his own way in most games , if you combine a good player with luck though you get an awesome run! you look at moneymakers and fossilmans runs in the wsop....they played well but without the luck factor neither even makes the final table..you play well you'll do ok...and then when the luck kicks in you'll win some serious cash!!
