Was just looking at my banking info online and saw a small charge that I did not recognize. I called the toll free # next to the charge (the name was Universal Data) and they said they were a CC processing center and that the charge was from WSEX.....(I have never played at WSEX) so I call WSEX and ask then what it is for and they say they have no records of my credit card being charged. :icon_conf

If they have no record of it, how is it possible?

the only thing i can think of is that I put a small amount into the poker room over at that other forum. Could that have been charged to WSEX?

but that doesnt answer why WSEX would have no record of it....

any ideas?

just tell your c/c company that u dispute the charge, and refuse to pay it...

whoever submitted the charge will come up with some "proof" then, and you will know if its legite or not...

I hear ya Bucs, but I'd rather not go thru all that if it is indeed a legit charge....

If you didnt make it - dont pay it. It is easy to dispute it with the cc company and like the other poster said if its legit they will provide proof and then you will know where you made it. if its phoney you will be credited and that will be the end of it.

Simple---The CC company will make you write a letter. Then Universal data, will respond that it was for charges to play poker at WSEX or wherever it was. Since it's probably out of the USA the CC company will most likely take your story.......But---you'll be screwed with WSEX (or whoever) the offshore . Really surprised that WSEX does not see any charges...you may have to ask them again.
Bad part is---you'll get the charge removed---but be BLACKBALLED by any others taking credit cards. Let us know...My guess is that WSEX had misplaced the record somewhere....unless another offshore uses Universal Data.

You were credited with $50 to gamble with but they only charged you $49.97 because you received 3 cents in loyalty points.

I'm positive and good luck with getting the charge corrected if you didn't make it. If it is an error and you want it corrected ASAP then go through your bank first to avoid a potential headache. Trust me on this. :103631605

Wsex uses something called frequent ( loyalty) player points for credit card deposits. They come off the actual amount that is charged to your credit card. So if you had 3 player points and did a $50 deposit, your card would only be charged the $49.97. I deposit $100 all the time and only actually get charged like $99 and change. But the full $100 gets credited into the sportsbook account.
