Anybody agree that the NFL is a horrible product?

With all that has changed in the game with replay, new rules and what not I think that the game has really become bland.

Maybe, but I'll still be there to watch/bet it every Sunday!

It's still a good way to spend a Sunday, but they really should just abandon kick and punt returns. Every one of them seems to have a penalty.

I've never understood why the public prefers the NFL over college foots. It's a no brainer to me which one I prefer to watch & wager on-and it sure as hell isn't on Sunday.

Everytime you turn the channel there is a hanky on the ground or a Ref under the hood. Now is that the football that we used to know and adorn? Cant stand it and in fact I have spent my last three Sundays doing other things for the better part of the day. I really think that the officials are driving me away. Just my opinion and I know everyone has their own.

Has become like the NBA for the most part---just watch the last 2 to 3 minutes for the winner.

If not for betting, I doubt I would even know the scores or standings.

College games have always been more exciting.

Every game isn't like SC-ND you guys know. Yesterday has some pretty lame football on the tube here. Ala-Tenn was high stakes, but much of the game was a total snoozer. Morning ESPN games were the Ohio St and Northwestern blowouts. Two Pac 10 blowouts on TV and the Utah blowout as well. Where was the compelling stuff in all that?

I personally found the Utah/Unlv game to be yesterdays most exciting game....nothing like a double digit backdoor. :banger:

Also, the Michigan/Iowa game was exciting.

NC/Virgina, ark St/FAU, Ala/Tenn......I always like low scoring close games.

You may have a point Bill. Maybe after fans watching Saturday NCAA games, NFL at disadvantage.

Biggest reason College is better (ie more exciting) is $$$$$$$$$$. The college kids are playing to get it. The pros allready got it!

not to metion in the pro's the qb situation is horrible...i mean if a defender looks funny at the qb its a foul...its become a very structured game with many...many forseeable plays and outcomes....conversely...nothing like the college game with the stadium going crazy...keeping my fingers crossed that ucla and usc go undefeated so when they meet later this season this town of LA will be abuzz...

If it makes it to an LA battle of undefeateds that might be one of the highest lines ever in such a game in late season. I wouldn't be surprised by SC being over a 20 point favorite being at home. Wonder if that will subdue the buzz a bit.

If they aren't a 20 point favorite...I will be HAMMERING USC in that one.

No...I personally love blocked FG returns for TD's.

Anyone hear the fire alarm going off at the Link today? Man that annoyed the crap out of me.
