The nature of the industry requires an "open" Site Promotion forum. We get all kinds of promotional threads, many of which are touts or selection services, SP provides a singular place for these type of threads. Sure many here don't like touts but I would rather provide a place to to keep those type of posts for those that do care to look at them.

The jist of it is that if we get rid of site promos, we end up chasing the touts promoting themselves in the picks forums-I know....It still goes on now, but that's being dealt with.
It's really a lose-lose situation......at least in site promos, people know what they are getting into.

No offense Kidslick, cuz i know alot of people that post at those places, and they are good people, but, we have a ton more traffic, and therefore are gonna attract more 'touts" because there is more of a crowd to sell to here...I dont like it either....anything you do, you are picking on them, hurting their little feelings, and they threaten to take their ball and go home...only problem is, THEY WONT DO IT....cuz they need this place...
I think I have a solution, but I have been debating to offer it because I got into it a couple of years ago with a few posters who post false records and some touts who do the same.
Touts can ONLY POST in the site promo forum without posting a record.
Touts can ONLY POST in the Tracker Forum according to the rules in there.
Touts CANNOT post in the Sports forums.

Sorry for not getting back to you guys on this issue sooner. Sort of a semi day off yesterday.
Anyway -- as it stands right now the Site promotion forum is going to stay. However I will be open to a new description to Site Promotions. Right now it says "Post any promotional information here".. Anyone interested is free to start a thread looking for a new more apt (but civil) description. Please keep it all in one thread.
