Why cant you parlay the same game at Pinnacle? I tried to take the Sox and the Over and it won't allow it.

You can do it. You get worse lines on a parlay, but you can do it.

I asked them that same question about ncaa football this weekend, and was told that it only applies on pointspreads of 10 or more, because there is a direct correlation between the over and big spread.....Seems an odd rule for the top book out there, when everyone else takes them, but guess thats why they are the top.....

Just have to play those wagers elsewhere, and play the straight wagers at pinny...

Not sure why that would apply to the baseball though, although maybe since tonight's spread is high, its because of that....if line was closer to even, you probably could...

The correlation point is going to be lower with baseball, the dog and over are generally said to be correlated -- I've not run the numbers personally

The correlation is fav and over a big spread , and even more strongly dog + big points and under.

Seems to be a bit of conflict here. Is it fav & over, or dog & over?

In baseball it's road dog and over. In football dog + huge spread under. If game has a total of 40 and spread of 30, it's hard to go under without dog covering. Few books would put up a total on such a game, and allow a parlay, either no total at all or the Pinny rule.

In bases you want road dog over so bottom on ninth is played.

Road dog and over as per DougJ, because of the extra 1/2 inning. Home dog wins it doesn't bat bottom9

If you have a database to run it ( I don't) you want large road dog ( you define large) and low total. A friend suggests what he calls" odd and a half" totals like 7.5 and 9.5 He also likes large home dog + under 9.5

I tried it too, it seemed to want to take it, but I'm broke at Pinny now ! I bet it at HW earlier. No advantage using Pinny on MLB parlays they use dimeline and 20-cent line on total, like many other books. For awhile earlier this season they wouldn't take it, then they would.
