OT - Where can one rent a car for long term?

Check with some of the major car companies. Some do monthly rentals. Maybe check with a local car rental company (not one of the big ones). They might do it by month. I lived in Salt Lake for 3 months a few years ago and rented a SUV at a local rental place by the month.

Well if you get it through one of the major car companies maybe not. My brother was out in Long Beach, CA this summer and rented a Ford Focus I think for like 20 bucks a day. It was a monthly deal and it came out to about 20 bucks a day. I think that's the cheapest you can get.

Try one of your local car dealerships. They all carry loaner cars for customers who are having their cars repaired and would be glad to rent you one.

Enterprise rental cars are the cheapest I have found for any length of time..Go in talk to the manager, I'am sure you can swing a deal
