michael i know he did have a family tragedy when his daughter died of leukimia about ten or so years ago.

hisle was with the dodgers for a short while. they also always said carew could easily hit 35 hrs a year if he changed his swing.

I think many forgot how good Rod Carew was...7 time batting champ who played on grass, and went to the all star game every year of his 19 year, career except for his final season in 1985.

he looks alot different on the magazine. always thought he would keep a youthful look and always reminded me of sugar ray leonard

I was so glad when he sold the team. I still don't know how he assembled all the players to make it to the '65 World Series.

Bostock what kind of player would he of been he actually gave back some of his salary one season because he felt he did not deserve it.

Would of been fun to see what he would have done.

Dont forget the right fielder on that team Dan Ford was a decent player
