GREAT CATCH, but equally CRAPPY FANS. I am rooting for the sox, but those fans can't just let uribe come into THEIR stands and catch the ball.

How do you give an out away when you only have 3 left? They needed to let Ausmus bat, I hate when they do that!

I was arguing that with a friend. its a tough call. Its not like they have been doing much, and garner probably wanted to at least get a guy in scoring position and give 2 batters a chance. I think its a tough call either way.

If ausmus grounds into a DP, the world kills garner for not bunting.

At home you play for the tie. On the road you play for the win. I'm sure that is what Garner was thinking. Either that or he was on the phone booking his hunting trip this weekend

Now if he's on 2nd with none out, I bunt....too many things can go wrong bunting there...we already saw a pop out....in the end the Stros just dried up at the plate, not a shock, they got a lot of mileage out of that very average lineup...

Scrap Iron Garner did a great job.

PT21,
I was thinking the same thing about the fans when Uribe made the great catch....Houston doesn't deserve to win a WS.
