Skybook has become LAME

These days they consistently take my plays into the background, move them midstream and come back at a different price without confirming at the price I had. And I'm not talking about a quick steam move or just before the game, I'm talking at a time like right now with no line movement happening and a very near-market price. I refresh and then enter the bet and confirmation within 2-3 seconds so there is no way it always moving in between. They definitely do this, and it is weak, very weak, especially on lousy nickel bets.

I know nothing but positive is ever spoken of Skybook here and I know they sponsor a lot of great contests, but this is still lame.

Sorry, had to rant, I'm kinda pissed. Makes me feel used. Don't like it.

Anyone else have this happen to them or am I alone?

D2Bets, I am sorry to hear you are unhappy with Skybook. I have sent a link to this thread along to Skybook for comment.

I've had it happen too. No big deal for me though - I don't see how they can win on straight betting giving away half-points.

Daringly,

you don't get tem on 3's or 7's, and with their juice, it's often cheaper to buy a half point at a fine shop like Pinnacle ;)

Never had a problem with sister book Rio in this regard. But I call in most of my action.

This is not just a beef with Skybook, but with every book out there.

Can't these people create a program where if a guy is making a $100 wager and the line moves by 2 cents either way, they just let it go????

Wouldn't it even out over time??

I can see them changing the price for a 2-3 dime wager, but does it rreally matter is someone is making a $50 wager and the line moves by 2 cents either way? Is it worth accounting for the extra $1 in vig to (a) have someone tie up your server and (b) go over the whole process again if they don't want to make that play but want to keep the other 4 plays that came along with it?

cripes that would be great if they did that all the time. All you have to do is wager on the opposite side, they move the price, then dont confirm, have a buddy then make the play on line at an even better price. That would be like a bonus present and nothing wrong with it!

but this shop is so damn good and does everything right, are you sure that this is the situation on your wagers? can you give us some screen shots on this? seems bizarre!

what I hate is at Pinny say Im making 9 wagers on horse matchups, Takes some time to click on all those plays and the amounts

then on the next screen you want to confirm, but if even one line changes, bam you have to do the entire order all over even if one line moved in your favor! let us confirm the ones that did not change at a minimum and always let us confirm if the line moved in our favor!!
:monsters- for pinny being so good they do that bad bad bad

If it really as a changed line, then I don't mind. What I don't like is them clearly moving the line only AFTER they see what my play is while the confirm is delayed in the background for 15-20 seconds. That is wrong. That is just like calling your guy and asking him the line for tonight's game...he says VT -13.5 or BC +13.5, whaddya want....and you say, OK, gimme VT -13.5 for a dime...he says hang on a second...and 20 seconds later comes back saying the line has changed to VT -14...you want it? Uhhhhh.

Wow, that sux.

I guess you could test it by choosing the side you dont like, see what line it gives you without confirming, then immediately try the other side and see what it does.

Trytrytry,

Know what you mean about Pinny, took me several tries to get 3 separate MLB in-game bets in last night. They really should just accept the lines that havent move and make you re-confirm the changed line, like you said. I wouldnt think that would be too much to ask from their programmers.

D2Bets, I have recieved word that Keith the general manager of Skybook can speak to you regarding this issue today if you like. He will be available after 3:30PM PST at 1-888-759-2665. I am sure you can recitfy the situation while speaking with Keith.

Maybe SKY and other books should read ^^^ post to realize how much of their action goes to Pinny when they move before confirming plays.

Maybe I'll call, maybe I won't. Not to prejudge Keith, who I'm sure is a fine person, but I tend not to enjoy conversations with sportsbook managers, maybe it's me, maybe it's my phone demeanor.

In any case, can't someone from Skybook reply here (or to you) whether in fact they do what I say they do -- change lines after seeing a player's submitted wager. A simple yes or no might even suffice. Thanks.

Skybook informs me that they move on action, you are also free to call in your plays to insure you get the line that is read to you. Personally I would speak with Keith and set up my account so I could call in my plays if I felt I wasn't getting the correct number.

Wil..

Wil, either they misunderstood my question or that's a chickenshit non-answer. The question I asked was direct and simple and that does not answer it. I am saying that they moved the number AFTER I clicked to confirm and AFTER they saw what my play was. I can't tell if they are denying this or not.

If this does happen over and over, why wouldn't you just call it in...once the line is quoted over the phone it cannot be moved...not saying you're in the wrong D2...

I know many books have this happen over the intenet.

D2Bets, Skybook moves on action not on air is what I am saying, please contact Keith if you have any doubts. He will explain exactly what happens when you submit a bet online at Skybook.
