will take the horse with best value out off my odds line and bet $30 to win. Will key him first w/longest shot of my top 3 remaining choices and put him second in $20 exacta. The other 2 $5 exacta. Example: value horse off my odds line is the 3 play 30 to win
exacta payoffs of my 3 top choices:

3-1=$ 62
3-6=$ 148
3-7=$ 42 bet is $20 exacta 3-6, $5 exacta 3-1,3-7

learned this method from reading Andy Beyer believes in putting yourself in position to crush the race. Will use something like this all the races tomorrow. That's $60 bucks a race will try to sprinkle another $40 bucks a race on other big payoffs. Anyone one else having any suggestions or stratigies that will be using tomorrow?

no rebate, actually making a day of it and going to track. More of a harness guy because I grew up with it. Have read Cramer,Quinn and few others to help me get up to snuff. Just will rank contenders on class, speed and few other things. Just basic stuff than set an odds line trying to see if my opinion is better than public. Never have been a real confident horse player. But love big race day's ( triple crown races, breeders)

Ice, my feeling is that the tri's generally offer the most value , as you can get horses on the ticket that appear 'LOGICAL" and still score a nice payout .........in the past , I pretty much followed your strategy here , but today I'm lookin for the long ball by taking ONE horse and wheeling him /her in all three spots with 6 or 7 others ............expensive ($126.00 per race) , but really only gotta hit one or two ........fwiw, gl !!!

I believe that in the last five or six editions of the Breeders' Cup you would have made money if you had simply wagered uniform amounts on every horse that started; can't get much easier than that.

BC races most difficult of all in the USA to handicap, for several reasons.

What I do is to just bet a deuce (like in two bucks) across on all those with First Time Lasix. At least they won't be waterlogged.

Beware spongy turf course -- sets up well for Euro Horses especially Bago in the BC Turf Classic.

European horses have generally done well in Breeders Cup turf races when the weather is cool and today it is cool and chilly.
