In most of the United States, that meant shifting the clocks back one hour to standard time at 2 a.m. Sunday, local time.
Daylight-saving time returns April 2.
Congress has voted to extend daylight-saving time, but that does not take effect until 2007. The new dates will be from the second Sunday in March top the first Sunday in November
