They have had cars very much like these for years in Mexico. I have heard they are fairly reliable and since they are very light in weight they have decent pickup speed for such a small engine. I think the reason they haven't sold cars in this class in the US for many years is due to the safety hazards. On a positive note down there in CR Slim you don't have many giant SUVs to crash into. On a negative note, we all know crash testing is kind of important with the way Ticos drive.
