Listen all day to local and national shows but just can't get up the nerve to call in. I have picked up the phone many times but can't pull the trigger. Just wondering if you posters are gun shy like myself?

I used to call sometimes before the internet but sometimes you would be on hold for 30-40 minutes just to ask your question.

I loved the Ken Rosenthal show. I also like Bob Haynie. I can now hear him on the net. Biggest Terps fan in the world.

Anyone ever hear of or call the" Bobby Kemp show". Man that guy was intimidating to his callers but very knowledgeable.

Bob Haynie is very good....Bob knows his stuff, can't pick winners though.

I didn't like Rosenthal because he called Murray the clubhouse cancer, and seemed to take pride in the fact he was part of the reason he was ran out of town, so I reminded him every chance I got.

Is he not on anymore? I used to catch him on the way to work before I moved. Very knowledgeable, for sure.

I've called into a lot of local shows. Never much with the national shows, though we all sit around and talk about trying to get on Rome one day. I don't have the time to spend on hold.

Never liked the Rome show always felt uncomfortable when someone calls in because he hangs up on them so fast. Will admit his faxes and e-mails are funnier than heck.

I'd be curious to know who that is. Just today he stopped the show because John from Columbus (C-bus) was on the line. He says there is no official list, but he's got about 20 guys that he would "stop the presses" for.

Rome has a decent sense of humor, but some of that stuff that gets faxed/emailed in is some of the funniest stuff I ever heard.

I used to call Papa Joe Chevalier all the time. I met him in Vegas 3 years ago. He is really a down to earth guy. He even remembered my calls because I was always busting his balls on the Pete Rose Hall of Fame discussion.

I posted something a few weeks ago. I got an email from Papa Joe--he's back on the air. I enjoyed his show a lot.

Yes I use to listen to his show every night on 1on1 sports network. I use to call the show at least once a week. I was a regular caller. So if you listened to that show before you heard me calling.

Bob Kemp had the best national show in the history of radio. No one had more knowledge than Bob.

No doubt about it, Kemp was the shit. I wish he'd come back, sports radio is really lacking quality hosts lately.

Grew up listening to Pete Franklin in Cleveland was always to scared to call him as he would yell at kids to go to bed and hang up. Pete might have been the 1st sports talk show host and was a genius with iformation before the internet.

He was great. Boy I thought I hated U of Mich, but nothing like him.
