WNO, I usually do, often by design, did so this past Monday with Pitt +3, then Balt +13.5/7.5/4.5.

Size of the original play, strength of the original play, and "live or not" factor to the dog, all greatly come into play for me when deciding to hedge or not, and/or what size hedge.

Also point "window", public play or not, and tv market size factor in.

Don't throw money away by playing a dead side(two contrasting plays where one loses should the other cash), always play two "live" plays when hedging.

michael777, thats actually not bad. you should be able to get away with that quite often.

if your team is in control and getting another 13 points, why hedge?

i guess its more of a middle thought than a hedge ..

but i know exactly what youre saying about a 2nd half play to save the day..
