We are leaving for Denver Friday. Are you allowed to carry on "unopened" alcohol in your carry on?

I want to bring a bottle of my wifes favorite wine, and a 4 pack of bud light. Will they say anything when I put it through at TSA?

Guy I work with got busted for bringing and opening a minibottle of Bacardi to mix with his stewardess....er, flight attendant provided Coke. He was actually told he violated a federal law and was detained and written up after the flight. He's probably on some FBI watch list now.

Just spoke with Delta. You are allowed 1 liter of alcohol carry on. Kinda pissy if you ask me. Guess I can check it on.

Only experience I have here is carrying back rum from puerto rico, I believe I ended up with 6 bottles which I carried in a little travel case they gave me...the only limitation we were given was there was a proof limit (nothing flammable). They must have different rules for different flights if they only let you carry one.

Surprised on Delta's response. I have brought six bottles of wine back from South Africa a few times without any problem...including Domestic connecting flights.

Yes one liter is the limit. I think it is a federal Law.
I flew one time with Mickey Gilleys Band and they each had a bottle of Jack and it was gone by the time we landed. Talk about some funny ass drunks. Before 911 so thing were more relax back then.
