Just came in from my fantasy news place.

Steeler QB Ben Roethlisberger will have arthroscopic knee surgery this
week due to damaged cartilage in his right knee. He will miss this week's
game and possibly next week's, but he's expected to play after that.
Veteran Charlie Batch will start for him this week

Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger had arthroscopic surgery on Thursday morning to repair damaged cartilage in his right knee. The surgery was deemed a success and Roethlisberger could play as early as the Cleveland game on Nov. 13. Veteran Charlie Batch will start in his place this week against Green Bay.

Also, head coach Bill Cowher announced that running back Jerome Bettis was downgraded on the injury list to doubtful. Duce Staley will most likely replace The Bus as the backup to starting tailback Willie Parker. Bettis has a nagging knee injury that has had him on the injury list for the past several weeks.

Batch wll just turn around and hand the ball off over and over again. Pitt will gameplan so that Batch has minimal chances to lose the games.

Just like they do with Big Ben.

Pittsburgh is the one team where a quarterback injury is not the high impact injury as with other teams. The Colts lose Manning or the Pats lose Brady and the back-up would have a huge responsiblity. As already mentioned earlier, Batch can just turn and hand off. Remember, Big Ben only throws around 20 or so passes a game.

I think the game they played with Tommy Maddox would dispute that proposition. LOL

Chaz Batch is a solid back-up, wished we woulda kept BSP, but I feel safe with the Eastern Michigan standout in there. Low scoring ugly game that Pittsburgh wins

I agree he should do fine for a few weeks... he can throw 20 times a game...I think the reason he used to fuck up in detroit at times is due to the fact he had NO SUPPORT and a BAD o-line

See Bettis is doubtful also. Really need Favre to throw to the green and gold jerseys and not the white, black, and gold ones. Gotta look at my Pitt under 10.5 a little closer now.
