Maybe I'm crazy here, but last time I looked, the most important person anyone should worry about is themselves. If you are a player at a book, shouldn't I hope the book prospers with everyone but me? At the end of the day, I want to get paid, and losers are who is paying. (Same if I lose) I'd love for all of us to make a killing, but its just not going to happen. I like to hear that books had a good weekend and I was still positive for that weekend....Am I wrong here?

No you are not wrong. The fact is that less then 5% of players will be successful in this business, so you don't really have to root for the books as most books that are well managed and funded will be successful. If you happen to be in the small minority all the better. However, never forget that it is a constant battle between you and the other side of the counter. Maintain respect for your opponent and the business at all times and you will continue your success.

The only books that should be rooted against are the one's that kick you out for winning.
