if so, did you catch the guys out in the crowd beating the shit out of eachother in celebration when louisville got the 1st and goal on the 3rd down? funny as hell, the commentators said, "i wonder what they are cheering about" and kinda laughed, funny as hell.

Then, I hear in a distance "BACK DOOR!" keep being yelled, I opened my patio door, thought I heard it outside, but it was coming from the crowd.:drink:

Yup, you're right, but you like a nice tittie bar every once in a while.

Yeah...Herbstreit and Tarico pretending to wonder why those two were going nuts...those two innocent goody goodies.

I guarantee you 90% of the people in that stadium knew the spread of the game. Most had no money on it, but even those who don't gamble know what the spread is if they are at the game.

Did Louisville really call timeouts at the end of the game? I can't see them on the "play-by-play" log.

Yes. LVL called TO with about two minutes left, a first and ten and a 15 point lead.

I thought they called the timeout on 3rd and 5

Money builds programs, pleasing the Alumni\Booster Clubs builds money

It's nice to be on the right side of one of these for a change

Louisville ran the ball every play that last series...Pitt should be pissed that they couldn't stop the run...It was a mighty good cover for someone who needed it I'm sure...

Ya but they started that drive with 10 minutes left. And they kept getting first downs. If they had needed to pass, I am sure they would have. They just didn't need to.

They were trying to cover, there is NO doubt about that. Calling the TO proves that beyond a doubt. It is just the way that it was almost perfect the way it unfolded.

If they don't call the TO, the clock runs to under 1 minute, they take 1 or 2 knees and the game is over.

What would have been beter is if at that point hey were up 19 and kicked a FG.

I was at the game, and I hate to tell you, but the cheering at the end of the game probably had little to do with the point spread and more to do with cheap Mexican food. If the Cardinals score 40 points or more, your ticket stub is good for a free taco at Qdoba restaurant. Crowd was cheering for tacos, not a spread cover.

I had them -21 and knew the backdoor cover was coming. Yeah, it was great seeing people in the stands and what they were doing.

I remember Lee Corso once on a Thursday night game - "I think that touchdown just helped a lot of people right there" referring to one that caused the favorite to cover and the total to go over. Was hoping to hear something like that from the announcers last night.

90%? Ive been to lots of college games and Id guess maybe 1 in 4 have any idea what the spread is or even what a spread is! Ask a college girl what the spread is and she is likley to either slap you or jump on ya.
