Feel more pressure when the game you have given out loses ?

Posting plays regularly, knowing some players are following you I would think can be stressful, and you're only as good as your last week...

You might want to ask why people do NOT post their plays.

I am 8-0 in my last 8 (and 8-4 overall) in the Bodog NHL contest and have made a bundle by making small parlays on those 8 plays and all the parlays have hit, obviously.

That being said, I will not post my plays here because I don't want someone to tail me on the way down. I have made money on the NHL, so I can afford to have an 0-4 run over the weekend, but someone who is looking for a lock may not be able to.

The worst thing about tailing someone is that people should have tailed me when I was 0-4, but nobody will. Then, after I go 12-2 over the next 14, they will jump aboard and they will have already missed the huge payouts.

Don't bother me if I lose as I know I was just trying to help. People can determine on their own if I am knowledgeable enough to trust their own money on my thoughts.

I agree with that Cincy.

i don't think anyone should feel bad/guilty at all....

if anyone out there follows anyone else without having tracked him for at least a couple hundred plays (and knows without a doubt that the guy can pick winners)...

then that person deserves to lose his money if he happens to be following bad picks.

people are so greedy and they want to believe so badly that the world is full of high win pct. players, that they'll believe anyone they see go 35-15 over a 50 games stretch!

this ain't a get-rich quick profession, if you do this long enough you'll have a losing NFL season ever now and then, or maybe even a losing season every now and then in NBA or NHL...or possibly even MLB (and that's over hundreds of plays a season)...

it will happen eventually....if you know what you're doing, all you can hope for is that the people that follow your advice are smart enough to not get greedy when you're in the nice winning streak, and not get desperate when you're in the rough losing streak....

but we all know most people aren't disciplined enough to maintain a cool, level head throughout the ups and downs of any sports season (let alone a full calendar year of betting!)

so why should any of us spend our time worrying about what others foolishly do? if they don't have the discipline needed to survive....they should find another hobby. or at least just limit their bankroll to money they can truly afford to lose without worrying about it.

When posting, I have always tried my very best to put solid selections out so that our members, posters and viewers can be confident in the play whether they choose to follow or not. With that being said, of course I feel a lot better when the selection wins then loses. Part of it is pride but for the most part it is important to me that I help others make money and not lose money and perhaps learn something from my thoughts as well. There was a time that it was stressful, but by the outpouring of support from our many RX posters, it is once again a joy and I have confidence in our members that they will use their own good judgment when making their own plays. For that I am very appreciative.

In Hockey, yes as I'm looking for a groove still. Halftimes I don't care because most win and people pretty much know that now. Pressure is from my money doubling or dissappearing.

DANTE, you're coming up on 44,444 posts. Make it count.

I post here and at my home forum (a very small fraternity there) as part of sharing information.

But my primary reason for posting is it forces me to be accountable to MYSELF.

If I'm posting my choices publicly, it increases my being thorough in how I cap and select an event.

My pride in doing well publicly helps protect me from being sloppy in my capping.

I don't post plays here but I follow or at least check many of you guys. And as a "taker" I couldn't have expressed it better. Thank you all for the sharing of your knowledge, whether you're hot or cold you are a great help.
But in the end it's my decision whether I follow or not, it's my money

If you bet on your own plays you shouldn't have any guilt at all. Different story if you're just tooting your horn.

I don't feel any stress at all if someone follows me because in the end they're still making their own choices. If I was selling someone plays then that would be a different story.
