in no order :

jordan
magic
bird
kareem
karl malone
wilt
oscar
erving
duncan
russell

i know a lot of guys would sub shaq for malone .

what makes shaq so great ? 7 feet , 310 pounds . i have never thought shaq had incredible basketball skills.

i probably wouldn't have either in top 10 but Shaq has been more dominant than Duncan.

Before you start listing the best, you better start listing the current. Shaq probaly and MAYBE Duncan. Kobe...not yet. Until he does something alone.

No one else even close to the top 50 IMO.

I can probably name 20 right now that the league couldn't sniff their jock straps just off the top of my head.

For starters

Bird
Jordon
magic
Worthy
kareem
wilt
Oscar Robertson
Unseld
West
Baylor
hayes
Russel
Dr j
Pistol Pete
Berry
Havlecek
Tiny Archibald
Frazier
Moses malone (maybe)
Gervin (probably)
Hakeem (probably)

Then throw in Mchale
Ewing
Karl Malone
Bill walton(pro career iffy)
Daryll Dawkins
Willis reed
Dominique

Ok so I have a big top of my head. There are 30 or so right there. Other than Shaq, not many are going to crack that list. Even Duncan. Not to mention I probaly missed a few.

Greatest is thrown around WAY too much. ALL TIME is also thrown around way too much.

Scotty Pippen making the 50 greatest all time was a complete farce. He probaly isn't in the top 100.

good list.. not sure about chocolate thunder though ..

i'll never be convinced that tim duncan isnt one of the 10 best players ever..

the guy is a perfect basketball player.

He is probably in the top 30. But I have seen a few players personally that are better than him. Back in their day Hakeem and Dominique(both borderline) were something special too. As was Karl malone, and he is borderline top 30, and I think he was better than Duncan is now.

I'm not the one to debate because the current NBA is a joke!

Oh yea sir charles, he was something for awhile too, and even Rodman before he went crazy. When he was with Det Rodman was bad ass. But top 30 no...better than the league today yes.(except maybe kobe, and perhaps LeBron if he continues.
