Ever heard of this from a local or otherwise?

I spoke w/ a friend of mine, who only uses a local and has used the same guy for 11 years.....he tells me on pushes he has to pay the juice! i told him that was crazy and he said i know but shrugged it off....

i have never heard of this, EVER!

anyone ever run into this?

He is lucky pushes push at all. Some locals have brutal rules.

Never heard of that on sides, but around here most locals
take a win if the total falls on a push. They tell you you bet
over did it go over? Answer, NO. Then you lose. How about
that shit.

on a total from some books.

anything is possible with a local. I have seen spilt numbers and split totals hung by some. eg.

Giants -7
Redskins +6

You lay 7 or take 6.

Totals:

over 38.5
Under 36.5

Try winning with that kind of vig against you.

That sounds like the parlay cards the bastards around
here used to hawk. I always thought that if a local book
wants to he could make a ton by giving better odds on those
cards and better lines. After all, they hardly ever hit
anyway.

There are a few European online books that charge juice on a push. I forget exactly which ones off the top of my head but think I recall reading on the RX that Gamebookers does that.

when i was in high school, this guy had parlay cards. 3 teamers paid 5-1. pushes were losers. i remember seeing this line on a card in 1987:

washington redskins @ new york giants

washington -3
new york -3

the guy i use now stopped letting me bet bases in july. his football lines are painted so, he's no use there. i called him last week to play a few nba games and he said he's not taking baskets until december...:lolBIG: .

the only thing this guy is good for is the college hoops lines. i can call him before tip and get a line that is a good hour old. other than that, he is useless.
