after reading what everyone just wrote regarding BOS making good on a debt, i feel like i should pass on a quick story...

i just opened an account with BetCris and immediately upon doing so, my account was credited with $16...

i didn't think anything of it, figuring it was just a computer glitch and eventually my account would return to $0 balance...

i checked back in a few days once i found a line on a game i wanted to play and was ready to fund my account via Neteller when i noticed the $16 balance was still in there....

i had a weird gut feeling that maybe someone else had a similar name as i did and somehow they had accidentally combined 2 separate accounts, or who knows what?

i just wanted to make sure nothing weird was going to effect my account as i prepared to fund it...

well, long story short (yeah, i know, too late for that)....turns out, i already HAD an account with CRIS that i completely forgot about...

i apparently opened it in 1998 the CS rep said, and only used it once or twice, and obviously left $16 there and forgot all about it...

7 years later, when they saw that my exact name, DOB, and everything else matched an existing account, they combined the two..

sure, $16 is nothing, but even if it was $1, that's called freaking integrity where i come from...

hell, if i ran a book i doubt i would have even done that :)

now, if it had $1,600 or $16,000 that had been left for all these yaers...maybe it would have been a different story, but i'd like to hope for the best...

i can't tell you how much this impressed me. i just wanted to publicly thank BetCris for this.

Hey, you never know what 16 dollars can turn into...I have seen some tiny balances turn into small fortunes...good story.

p.s. also seen small fortunes turn into thin air.

even for a dime player, just the peace of mind in knowing that his new book has the integrity to return a long-since forgotten amount of pocket change....

that really means a lot....

and i'm glad i started posting in here over the last few days...

i was so pissed off with what happened with my bowmans account that i really needed a place to vent...

and i definitely needed to add a couple more outs to my 'portfolio', and all the recommendations for Skybook, and now BetCris, have really come through for me.

thanks to everyone here in the forum as well!

You left your account inactive for 7 years and the money was still in your account. If only other sportsbooks had integrity like CRIS.

yeah, to this day i still don't remember having that account...

i had a few back them, but you'd think i'd remember having a big name account like CRIS...

although, i did get ripped off for $5,000 from Caribi back in 2001, so i guess i'm only down $4984 now!!! :)

Also, some books do have an inactivity rule where the balance is eventually gone...

7 yrs later says a lot about CRIS.

yeah, i think a lot of books have a 1 year rule now...

and i wouldn't have a problem with that at all, that seems like a reasonable rule.

that's why what CRIS did really was such a surprise.

I'm liking them more as well. My main gripe is the cents rip-off. Nothing you can do to structure a parlay against it when lines are like -115 and +170. If I play a side and total, and the total pushes, I lose change.

yeah, i know exactly what you mean...

but if i have to choose between rock-solid reputation and average lines, or so-so reputation and great lines....

...i've come to the point in my betting life now that i'd choose the latter.

a few years ago, it was the former. and i definitely learned from my mistakes.

all it takes is to lose money one time to a book going under, and that'll change the way you evaluate a book prior to sending your money there.

that's why i was so hesitant in getting new outs.

all you guys recommended two great ones in Cris and Skybook though. thanks.

I would expect $$$ to be there if you logged into old account, but this is different. CRIS went out of their way and found it, that's good CS.

I'm amazed that the accounts database hasn't been purged after 7 years. I can only imagine how many "one deposit" tanked accounts have been sitting idle that long-especially at a book the size of CRIS.

CRIS deserves the props. Their main guy had a few questionable decisions early on in my opinion but has really come on strong the last few years. Very underrated. This book, WSEX and Greek are probably the cream of the crop when it comes to things like safety and stability.
