seems to have an idea about gambling and writing but just can't pick games. He claims he does some sort of computer simulation. You would think he would try to re-fine this method. May be the all-time fade, have lurked their for years and he never wins consistently.

actually guys, it's even worse than you think....

i've been tracking him on and off for a couple months...he's down about 50 units since mid-august!

however, in fairness to him...he did have one of the hottest starts to MLB this past year that i've ever seen...

i think he was up about 40 or 50 units in MLB alone by the all-star break, so really all he's done is lose back most of his profit for this year...

that's always seemed to be his problem...he is sooooooo damn streaky.

it might be because he has so many plays each year, probably close to 200/month. i guess when you have that many plays each year your winning and losing streaks will be more pronounced.

but he does have one of the best websites around as far as learning about money management and learning how to discipline yourself and be prepared for the ups and downs of this business.

i remember hearing once that bob mccune actually used to help him out with his service plays? was that true or just a rumor?

i know miller used to promote mccune's books (great books by the way), it makes sense i guess. i based my MLB handicapping technique off of mccune's. to this day, it's still the best technique i've ever tried.

Christian-- I am very proud to say that I was a good friend of Mr. McCunes and learned as much about sportsbetting from him as anybody in my life(Sonny Reizner too).

Both guys that had TREMENDOUS class.

i always recommend bob mccune's books to anyone who will listen. i don't care how long anyone has been handicapping, it is impossible to read those books and not learn something new and valuable!

do you happen to know what his exact involvement was with miller's website or tout service before he passed away? did they work together? aside from just book promotion? i'd be curious to know what that story was.

No, Bob never spoke about JR with me much, if at all...........and never personally spoke with Bob in the last 2 years of his life.

You are so correct though, every sportsbettor should get their hands on as much of McCunes writings as they can...........they will only profit greatly from doing so.

Bob McCunes's "education of a sports bettor" is one of the best gambling books I have ever read, I find myself going back to numerous times a year. As for his other books they are tough to understand and pretty much the same thoughts just expressed differently from educatin book

Miller's picks always rot. A friend of mine and I had to learn the tout lesson the hard way several years ago.

Miller also haunts this forum, so if you're listening J.R., "Change your thinking, your picks are bad news. Just shamelsssly steal some of the picks here in the Forums and as worst you break even."
