Did you ever see a game that looked so easy that you took the other team instead??

Loved Louisville last night and thought it looked too easy so I took Rutgers instead. Small play for me but I am as mad as when I lose 10k in a day. To much thinking sometimes.:icon_conf

Im with you Harrington. Sometimes it feels like we just outhink ourselves. That happened to me last week, especially with Tennessee Vols. But its the way I handicap, and it seems to win more than lose, so I cant be more upset when I lose. Although we want to think dofferently, this is not about winning every game, but winning at about 65%.

Whenever I look at a game and say "wow, that cant be right" I usually am dismayed to find out it was right and I was wrong. LOL

That is the thing I have finally learned. When it looks like that (and it did last night on the Louisville game) I just don't play it. I used to tear through wagering like some carnivore wreaking havoc and hitting high streaks and low streaks that would make a jet pilot flinch. I realized that for me to make it work, I had to change. I am no puss guys, but I actually try to visualize myself as a meek rabbit or deer looking for food when I'm looking through the games. I know...laugh away. But I am always ready to run at the least sign of something wrong, or if it doesn't feel right. I wager fewer games now and my win % has improved markedly. I used to plow ahead no matter what. Now, many times, I run like a rabbit. Yes...I can hear you guys laughing, but that's ok. It works for me. tulsa

No. But every time I take a team that loses in this scenario, I say "I knew it looked too easy, I should have bet the other team."

That is a real generic response, but I wouldnt doubt that is the popular consensus.

Cinci... Got 2 in basketball for you from last year. I was on right side of both.....

Kansas(-1) @ TTech
Kentucky (-1) @ South Carolina
I took the home team in both. Won both. The whole world thought Kan and Ken were too easy.

I always go the other way! Just look at tomorrows first game on the schedule. TAKE THE BILLS AND GIVE THE 2.5!

You have to take a scientific approach about handicapping if you're going to be successful, and throw out all the bullshit guessing...

When you see a game that seems too good to be true then you must bring out the magic 8-ball for consultation to see if it concurs...:103631605
