no doubt the rays are one of the all-time worst franchises. but, they are loaded w/young talent. if the sox play their cards right, they could rape the rays. the rays have a new gm, who probably wants to make a big splash. the rays have a lot of potential to mess this up, if they trade for manny.

If they wouldn't give away the farm, MANNY would make the DRAYS instant playoff contenders.

What a line-up in TAMPA............POWER and SPEED to burn.

they do have some real good young players, as well they should always drafting in top 3...they still will never win , they should move.

Florida doesn't support baseball...and that stadium, whatever its called, is the worst ever...

I'm sure the "fans" would be excited about getting a superstar, and the LU would be nice. but playoff contenders? C'mon man, that's insane! Maybe 3rd place contenders.

Tampa will soon become a USF city............putting the BUCS, DRAYS, and BOLTS on the second shelf.

A Sugar Bowl berth this year would be a good start.

Fishead...thats the first i've heard that rumor.

But could you care to explain how Tampa Bay could pay that salary? If for any reason he would get traded there, then the Sox would HAVE to pick up a strong majority of the contract (which makes zero sense)..


Also...Manny is a 10-5 guy...he would not approve that trade.

If that trade would happen, then the Sox front office would have a PR nightmare 10x worse than the Theo debacle. And I would imagine this trade scenario has less than a single percentage point chance.
