Would this have been a "middle"?

I have Oregon ML in a 3 team parlay
The two other teams are already done and won

Halftime Oregon was losing 14-10....

Halftime line is Wash St. +3 1/2

I bought some Wash St +3 1/2, but too bad I couldn't have got a juicy +6 1/2 or so right?

I have no luck :monsters-

Yeah I know
I just wasn't feeling so good about Oregon...Seemed like they weren't into the game

Luckily they picked up bigtime in the 2nd half so far....
I don't think I've ever attempted a middle

In football, what is the best scenario to get the best middle opportunity?

To have the favorite up big at halftime, or have the underdog winning at halftime and hope for a big 2nd half line for the underdog (considering you have the favorite to win in a parlay, or even straight up ML....etc..

Lets see if Oreg wins H2 by 3 you win 2nd bet which probably is about the risk amount of parlay ? Oreg can't win by 4 and 5 wins parlay, both bets can't win so no middle. Middle is like +7.5/ -6.5 where both can win, I'd call this a hedge.

Even +6.5 would only give you two unlikely numbers here to middle, you'd need oregon to win game by 1 or 2 points to collect both tickets, seems unlikely, you really need +7 ,or +7.5 for a decent shot.

Gotcha
Never really followed this technique

Luckily the parlay won instead of the hedge

Thanks for the help
