Assuming - as now seems very likely - it's Texas vs USC.
Trojans crapped on a Big 12 champ last year, but won't happen again.
I think the line, tho, will open at USC -3.

I was talking about it at work and I think it'll open at USC -3 also. That should get action for both sides. USC has to be favored cause of the streak and they are the defending champions.

Oh I think it has to be more than that. I say USC -6 or -6.5 with a few square shop 7's availabe.

At -3 I would have to back USC. No way that gets balanced action, I just don't think so. USC has just been too dominant. Gotta be closer to 7 than 3, unless something strange happens in the next couple weeks.

It may go a little higher than 3, it being USC's backyard, and what they did to the Sooners last January. But I very much doubt 6 or 7. I'll jump fast and hard on Texas at that number.

Any trolling bookmaker wanna contribute to the thread.

I could see them opening at -5.5 and drifting a point or so higher, but no more.

How about a total? Gotta be huge! How does 69.5 sound?

66 to 70 sounds right. Both a bit better on O than D.

Now watch UCLA upset the Trojan rose bowl cart!

Penn St v Texas.

To be honest, I would probably cry if that was the Rose Bowl setup. In order to BE the champs, you have to BEAT the champs.

IF UCLA did beat USC - not so sure USC STILL doesn't make the Rose Bowl. Recall Oklahoma got its ass whupped by K-State in the Big XII Title game and STILL played LSU in the Sugar Bowl. OK - they shouldn't have played in that game - but they did so don't count ut USC if they lose a nailbiter to UCLA

I just hope that USC and Texas both win out and Vince Young puts up huge numbers and continues to get all the press and even win the Heisman. I want a nice fair number. Been waiting for this match-up since the beginning of this season figuring both could go undefeated. Please, no upsets.

I should be greedy since I have Miami at 22-1 to win the Rose Bowl, but I see almost zero chance UCLA beats SC, they are a 6-5 caliber team in a 9-1 outfit. UT has a little tougher road just because it is 2 games, but neither team should give them any challenge. I would probably pass the Rose Bowl with these two teams matched up, I think UT is a slightly live dog but would have to get at least 7 to wager with SC's propensity to find a way to win tough games. I think anyone who makes out SC to have home field advantage is mistaken. The crowd will be about even, maybe even with an edge to UT fans. SC fans will buy up tickets and then call a broker and offload them quick, just part of the So Cal tradition to scalp tickets when the price gets up there.

Las Vegas has it at USC -7 I think it will close a little lower than that if Texas keeps winning big. If you want Texas I would take the +7 and hang on as I think USC will spank them and the Big 12 will go 0-4 in the Title games the last 4 years

OMT,

Totally agree. Public needs to keep drinking the Vince Young kool-aid. USC at anything less than 7 is a gift to me
