You should stick to the 1, 2, 3 unit range for all games.... Some of your strong, feeling on top of it picks should at most be a three unit play. Now...what is a 1, 2, 3 unit play?

I consider units as 1.5 percent of bankroll. 1 unit = 1.5% bankroll
2 units = 3% bankroll and 3 units = 5% of bankroll (I know but I round mine)

Also, do not change your dollar amounts until you are well within a range ABOVE your current roll. So in your case, I would see $10, $20 and $30 as my plays. ALSO, as I mentioned, I would wait until you have $1,000 before you reset your amounts. Constantly changing your real dollar amounts can hurt you on losing streaks. If you can put together winning plays then you will get to $1,000 at some point. Then re-set your amount per play and amount per unit, still using the 1.5, 3 and 5% rule.

To further the explanation, I would take the $1,000 and work toward about $1,800 to $2,000 before I would re-set the wager amounts. It is a bit more conservative but the race is a long marathon and it is much better to be conservative. tulsa

It is a bit high, but to me, that is how I can feel like I am playing 'heavy' on a game...it is only a percent or so off. If you have the self-control to stick to that at MOST it will serve you well. tulsa

3 unit play means 3 X 1.5% which is 4.5% of bankroll and I round to 5%. So, no, it should be a three unit play or a 5% of bankroll play. tulsa

I strongly advise you to not exceed 4% of your BR on any play. Try a 1-2-4% scheme, and tri to have twice as many 2's as you do 4's, and twice as many 1's as you do 2's.

Can you replenish your bankroll if your loosing? I personally wouldn't waste my time betting less than $50 even if I had a $600 bankroll. Just don't make too many plays, 2 or 3 a day. Don't bet more than you make per day at your job on any single bet until you build a bigger bankroll.

at $600, it's obvious this is just a recreational bankroll....

so i would recommend 2% per play ($12)...

anything more than that is a little risky. at anything more than 2%, you'd be surprised how quickly you can go bankrupt.

you'll hear a lot of guys tell you to use three different ratings for your games, maybe like a 1 unit, 2 unit and 3 unit plays...

or a million different variations of that....

but, honestly, i would just recommend you keeping all your bets the same...

keep them all $12 and just have fun! if you're still in the "recreational" phase of gambling (i.e. you're not doing this for a living) there's no point in trying to "handicap your own handicapping" and trying to assess which of your plays is stronger than the others.

just keep your bets the same and enjoy the ride!

You can make more money in Bonus Betting contests than from betting $10-20 a game. Thats what I used to do when I didnt have much of a bankroll.

If that is your entire bankroll, you should be betting $6 to $18 per play. 3% is really pushing the envelope because if you find yourself down just 33 units, you are out. $6 to $18 is my recommendation if that $600 is all you've got.

If you've got another $1,800 that could be considered part of your bankroll then your bet should be $24 to $72 per game. But you have to figure out what your bankroll really is. Many gamblers don't want to send the book more than they can afford to lose. That is the WORST mentality you can have if you don't want to lose. If you can afford to lose $600, then winning $6 is just silly.

I can't afford to lose my bankroll. But that's just me.

And another thing, NEVER EVER EVER bet different amounts. Bet the same amount on every play. You don't know if that play will win or lose but at the end of the day, you hope you can beat 52.5% over the long term. Betting more on one play than on another is a recipe for disaster, in my opinion.
