I am beyond pissed with these monopolizing assholes and wish I had Direct TV again or the cable companies "truly" competed against each other. I ordered the Corrales vs Castillo fight last month but due to technical problems on their end I missed the first couple of hours of the pay per view. Well it finally did come in near the end of the fight before the main event, Corrales vs Castillo. A guy explained to me, after I spent 45 minutes on the phone doing everything to get the signal in, when I get my bill to call them and have an adjustment made. He said if you don't get the fight, we will refund your account but if the fight eventually comes in then let us know at which point and we will adjust accordingly. Well I got the bill yesterday and called a few minutes ago and these jokers said because I got to see the main event that it is Comcast's policy to not make any adjustments in these situations. They said that they look at the undercard fights as a bonus! :monsters- I thought the guy was joking but he was dead serious! I asked him what if the card has a co-main event and he just repeats the same BS. I couldn't get mad at the guy because he's just repeating what they told them to say but what a dumb ass rule. I can imagine ordering a UFC fight and it doesn't come in until the last fight of the evening and you get stuck for $49.95 because of this.

The guy was advising me to write a letter to the GM...yeah right so he can wipe his ass with my letter LOL. I don't want these assholes to get away with this, what should I do??? Write a letter to the Utilities Commish which I think has no jurisdiction over cable companies now because it "deregulated" and that's a joke! Pay it and take them to small claims or threaten to do so, so it's not worth their time??? I refuse to pay $44.95 for something I did not see in entirety. I was expecting to get at least $10 taken off for missing most of the card and wasn't expecting to not pay anything. I guess you can do this when you're the only game in town. Comcast, the 800 lb. gorilla. :sad3:

They did a smiliar thing to me when I had ordered a WWE pay-per-view, and the box looked up and wouldn't put the show on. For all that I missed, my adjustment was only a few bucks...

Maybe the better buisness bureau can help?

Threaten to switch to Dish or DirectTV, that usually gets their attention.

Tried that one a while ago when they said I had 3 digital boxes and only had 2 but they were still trying to charge me. These guys know pretty much that they can throw their weight around here and pretty much the customers have no choice because if they did, people would already have switched to Direct TV. My problem is where I live, I cannot affix a dish to the building and my balcony does not face in the right direction to pick the signal up. If I could have Direct TV please believe that I wouldn't even had made this post. When I had Direct TV and NFL Sunday ticket :( years ago, they had the best customer service I ever had with a company over the phone. They knew how to treat their customers and more importantly retain them. When I moved I lost that priviledge.

What pisses me off is that the govt' deregulated utilities companies and this was suppose to create competitive pricing and service in the cable industry but it has made it worse. Big boys like Cox, Comcast, Time Warner and etc. bought up all the local Mom and Pop operations and seem to have this "silent" agreement that I won't come into you area if you don't come into mine deal and it's hurting customers in the long run. I pay, after taxes, almost a $150 a month for premium service with High speed internet so why don't I have ESPN2 in HD? ESPN U? ESPN 360? only about 30 channels in HD? paying 50 bucks a month (when you break it down) for High speed internet? crappy looking non HD channels? and the list goes on. I hate Comcast.

Did they use the main event excuse on you as well? I could've easily have said that I didn't get it at all but have too much integrity to do something shady like that. Look what it got me though :monsters-
