What a pass.......beautiful touch....

Game tying TD with less than a minute to go....

Griese going down hurt, but Simms is coming around, and hopefully with a healthy Cadillac back in the garage, the Bucs can once again make a run for the playoffs....

But wait, Bucs go for 2 after the penalty, and get it.....woo-hooo !!!

Right before they did that, i thought to myself, why doesnt a team go for 2 when the ball is moved to the 1 yard line....got to figure your odds of making 1 yard on a play are better than getting the ball and winning in OT......but i didnt really think they would do it...

now for :45 seconds of defense.....

Great game...

Do you think he got in on that 2-point conversion? He sure looked short to me.

You know what to think about as well

When the Skins had the ball, they only needed one more yard to get a 1st down and it would have been the 2 min warning

Their failure to pick up one lousy yard gave the ball back to TB to get the winning TD

Good for Chris Simms. Had they lost the game today, it was not due to him. The kid grew up right before our eyes. Best game Ive seen him play, including college. Seems the season may not be lost. Right back in the hunt.

I agree. I had the Skins -1 but I live here in Tampa and I have been rooting for Simms. He's been getting CRUSHED in the media here and if he had another tough day, he'd have been run out of town on the same horse that Dilfer left on.

The public here is going to go nut: they've been down on Simms--he redeemed himself and they've been down on Gruden for not playing Alstott. He played and had a hell of a game. That rumbling you heard from here in Tampa was the overreacting fans cranking up the Super Bowl bandwagon.

Well, they ARE 6-3, and probably still looking at a wild card, as they cant seem to beat Carolina, and they would have to win at Carolina to have a legite shot to win the division....

They are now tied with Atlanta for the Wild card.....

you gotta figure only (1) team will come out of the north, and one team out of the west, which leaves 2 wild card team out of the east and south....

Tampa took a big step by beating washington who was tied with them at 5-3, so they hold a tiebreaker out of that....you basically have to figure that out of (Tampa, Dallas, Philly, NYG, Washington, and Atlanta), will come a east division winner, and 2 wild cards.......Tampa fares well against Atlanta and Vick, and have the edge on Washington now.....hopefully Philly has enough problems they will fade.......I still think Dallas is over-rated....so if i had to guess right now, i would say that NYG win the east, and Tampa and Atlanta sneek in as Wild cards.....

Seems alot posters have been blasting the Vikings for their win over the Giants today, and maybe deservingly so, but the Bucs had no business beating Washington. Tampa will not win 10 games and may not win 9, so I
don't see the Bucs making the playoffs.

This is their remaining schedule, and they certainly are capable of winning at home against Chicago, New Orleans, and Atlanta, and winning at New Orleans, which is 10 wins right there....they should struggle at Carolina and New England i would imagine, but they have won in Atlanta a few times over the last few years.....Their defense seems to handle Vick better than most....but 10 wins is not out of the realm at all, 11 is a distinct possibility

And they could also lose at Atlanta, at home against Chicago, at New Orleans, at Carolina, at New England, at home against Atlanta before winning at home against the Saints. The Bucs could finish 7-9. I would have to say 7-9, 8-8 is more realistic than 10-6 or 11-7.

Well, we are at 9-4 right now, and playoffs looking very good....consdering we have the best division record of the 3 teams fighting for it....we only have 1 division loss.....Carolina has lost to tampa and Carolina, atlanta has lost to tampa and Carolina....Tampa still gets atlanta and New Orleans at home...

I predicted they would go 3-1 over the last 4 games, however i was wrong about how they would go about it.....i thought they would beat the Bears and lose to Carolina, but either way, we got 3 wins over last 4, and now have a tough road game at New England, and 2 home games, against teams we have already beaten on the road this year.....11 wins looking good.....

another helpful factor. If Dal losses today which they are right now, then Dal will be 2 back of TB with 3 games to play.

Atl is 1.5 back right now and TB's got the tiebreaker.

Min is 1 game back with 3 to go but we beat them head to head, so really they are 2 back with 3 to go.

TB and Car are tied and TB has the tiebreaker.

Basically the way I see it if TB can beat Atl at home in 2 weeks that would all but wrap up a playoff spot.

Well, its about time to get serious....

this is mega-important today...

Although i didnt expect at the beginning of the year, to win this game, if we can, we will really have a stranglehold on the division, and a high playoff seeding.....

A loss, and we still have some work to do.......Still looking good for playoffs, but winning the last road game of the year, then coming home for the last 2, would be real sweet.....

Hopefully Simms has a nice game, against a "less than stellar" secondary for New England......

Cadillac may have some troubles today, as i expect the Pats to stack the line, and Make Simms beat them....

Hopefully TB defense keeps up the recent trend, of shutting the other team down......

This could be a watermark game for this season.....

Lets go BUCS....

Biggest game in a couple of years. Im a couple hours away from Foxboro. Sunny outside, will be high 30s maybe even in the 40s at game time. Weather shouldnt be an issue. Looking for a big effort from TB today.

Me too buddy, i just hope we get it....

Have had some Jeckyll and Hyde moments this year....

Jsut think where we would be had we beaten the Jets and SanFran on the road.....2 games we would win now ( i think)....We would be 11-2, tied for #1 seed, and UDEFEATED on the road......amazing to think, this year , on the road, we have beaten Minnesota, Atlanta, Carolina, New Orleans, and Green Bay on the road, but lost to San Fran and Jets.....
