Maybe if Ortiz lost some flappin weight and learned to play defv there would be a legit case for him being Ortiz

A guy who cant bend over to tie his shoes, let alone field ground balls, vs an everyday, all-around player like A-Rod gets my vote every time and it aint even close

A-Rod had a higher % / Home runs and plays fulltime defv ...

Should not even be a discussion as Ortiz should lose some weight off his fat ass and learn how to wear a glove so he can play some defv instead of eating donughuts between at bats

I hate ARod, but the numbers don't lie. Pretty awesome year he had. If voting was done after the playoffs, however, this might have had a different result.
