Hell, I went there 40+ times last year, maybe a handful of times betting in a book. I bring my laptop and scount lines online and in the books.

For those that may not know, labtops and cellphones are NOT allowed in the sportsbook area.

Was that ment to be a joke? I am talking about from the room, or checking lines, then stepping out of the book and making the call.

Who really thinks you can bring a laptop in a book?:icon_conf

Sure many RX'ers here have never stepped foot in a Vegas sportsbook and may some day.

Just giving them a "heads-up".

That's what I thought:103631605 .

I could see Dante sitting in the sportsbook pulling his laptop out of his bag, trying to get his bet down on the Steelers.

Is Vegas tough on ID'S? My fake is top notch, and has never been taken in 3 years.

How old are you? As long as you are close, I don't think they'll card you. That responsible gaming bullshit is just that.

I always found it amusing when some poor tourist is unknowingly talking on his phone in the book.. It's like they have a bomb in their hand..Security comes over, the book employees start yelling. So stupid...

I think I've made three bets in Vegas sportsbooks all year. Not surprisingly, I've won all 3. Otherwise, I can get a better number offshore 99.9999% of the time.

There are still some books that will allow laptops as long as wireless is disabled, Bally's to name one. All I had to do was demonstrate that the wireless capability wasn't enabled since the PCMCIA card was out and they were fine with it. I like to keep my horse racing stuff in electronic form as opposed to having to print it; even at Bally's where they let you print it for free. I need four up duplex printing which they can't handle there.

I've also not had problems with my laptop at Paris, MGM and Caesars.

I would say that you'll have no problems whatsoever. If you look 24 or 25 and act like you belong, you'll be fine. But if you get on a run, don't run it up too much before you cashout. I could see the scumbags try to pull that ID shit if you beat them bad. That is the main reason why I like to gamble. To see those pathetic pit bosses sweat their money and look at you like they hate your guts when you are winning. It's priceless.:smoker2:

Ridiculous chalk in the Vegas sportsbooks.

That's a good thing, not a bad thing. The chalk is not that ridiculous though because you can get better numbers offshore on any game.

Its just not worth it. If you win, it can and will be confiscated.

Wait until you're 21 and make a celebration of it, the casinos aren't going anywhere. Took my elder (sports mad) son to Vegas as part of his 21st present and let him loose. He had a blast.

No, I don't make my bets in the sportsbooks. I bring my laptop and make my plays offshore then sometimes watch the games on the large screens. Often times, particularly on the weekends, I won't even go to the sportsbooks because they are too crowded and too noisy. I'd rather sit quietly in the resort and watch. If I want to make additional plays, click and I'm done. Generally, I only go to the casinos in the evening to have a nice dinner, watch a show, maybe play a little at the table games or in poker room.
