I think wind is the #1 factor when it comes to weather affecting totals. I think people overvalue rain when betting unders. I have seen rain cause a game to go over the total just as much as it causes then to go under because of turnovers and DB slipping and leaving recievers wide open for huge plays.

But wind totally shuts down the passing game causing teams to run the ball and burn clock. The total is now down to 26. I dont think this wise guy took the wind into effect when he made his play because surely he would know that the line would shift down once the weather news hit.

Keep in mind that after the front moves through, the storms will be over, and the temp will drop. It may be windy, but it's not going to be anything like the 60-80mph "gustfront" winds-which may have been factored into the previous total.
