I signed up for the free $50 at matchbook and although I use to have an account at Mansion I never once used there exchange so im an exchange newbie.

My first impresion is I LOVE THIS SHIT!!!!!!!!! But I do have some questions about how they work.

At Matchbook they always show the best offer for each side of the game. Every single time I have made a bet I always make a counter offer thats better for me than whats being offered, and 100% of the time the play gets matched even when the line never gets to that point. Is this matchbook taking my action on the side or something? Why would anyone take my offer when they can get the other side at a better price? It makes no sense. Here is an example of what im talking about.

Tonight is the latest example

The Twolves were -3 +101. I asked to get the Twolves -3 +107 and wouldnt you know it the offer got execpted. The line never got that high on the website I watched it closely. Why would anyone accept my offer when they could have gotten a much better price on the main offer board? Every last time I have done this my play gets matched for better odds.
Now I dont go overboard with my offers. I may add 5 or 6 cents to the juice from the current line.

The bottem line is im getting outstanding numbers at this place and never once layed negitive juice on a single play. I can hit 49% at this place and make money!!!!!!! The Monday night game last night was scalp city!!!!!! I had Philly -2.5 +104 before the game and during the 3rd Quarter I bought back with Dallas +2.5 +330!!!!!!!! :money: This is free money folks!!!!

I may never bet with a conventional sportsbook again. I cant wait for baseball season.

Now that I have tryed this matchbox exchange I will certainly reup with mansion and use there exchange.

SS, I know you are an exchange veteran. Why would someone accept my lesser offer when the main board has better odds. If the top offer is +101 and I offer +107 why would they match this play.

Ok, for this...
The offered line was Twolves -3 (+101). Therefore, that means someone with a current open, unmatched bet, is willing to take Twolves -101.

You asked to get Twolves -3 (+107); this means that you left an open bet at Twolvesopponent +3 (-107). The original guy was not willing to take your bet, but someone else WAS willing to buy the -107 line off of you. Who knows? Maybe the other offered lines were -110 or something. This isn't a case of "getting the other side at a worse price".

Lots of people aren't comfortbale putting up unmatched bets and would rather give up a few cents worth of odds in order to know that someone is already on the other side of their bet. That's probably what happened here. Someone was willing to COMPLETE an offer where they get -107 on the Twolvesopponent, but they weren't ready to POST an offer where they get -107 on Twolvesopponent.

Matchbook does not allow you to look at each individual offer. The only thing they allow you to see is the best offer on the board at that time. Maybe Mansion lets you see everyones offer individually I dont know never used them but matchbox only lets you see the best offers on both sides.

How is the traffic at the Mansion exchange these days SS? Is it picking up?

Yeah...betting exchange are a little, let's say *trickier* to understand. But in the end, it's well worth the effort. :o)

not bad, the exchange is seeded by the backers of mansion though, & I often find odds better than pinnacle

today for example they had the panthers at +180, while pinny had +170, of course they lost, but nonetheless.

I agree that Matchbook is the sh*t! It's made me totally rearrange where I keep my money offshore, taking lots out of my more traditional books and putting it in here.

I have now been inspired to open up an account at Mansion as well.

ensign_lee has the answer your TWolves -3, +107 shows on the board as Houston +3, -107.

Now you should check the Houston line to see if you are offering the best price. If -110 is the best offer you might even get +109 on your bet (offer -109).

Too bad about the bet. :sad3:

Choptalk,

Stay balanced on 2 good sides then sit back and enjoy the game. Stay with it and look for hidden fruit, it's in there.

Agree 100%. I had a lovely time last night watching Roy Williams intercept that ball for a TD last night.

I had Philly -2.5 +104 before the game then I bought back Dallas +2.5 +330 in the third quarter. You cant lose if you play it right.
