New platform launch

PartyGaming Plc (“PartyGaming” or the “Group”), the world's leading online gaming company, announces today that it has taken a further step towards establishing a new fully integrated PartyGaming operating platform. This platform will, on launch, offer a variety of different games but with a common systems architecture allowing each of its nine million registered PartyPoker customers to use a single account and a shared purse across the Group’s gaming brands.

As part of today’s development, the Group has moved the PartyPoker.com brand and all of its players to the new platform.

Historically, PartyPoker players have shared the same poker-only system with players from each of the Group’s four white label poker clients or “skins” (being Empire Poker, Coral Eurobet, Multipoker and Intertops). Following today’s move, PartyPoker players will now play on their own private tables and benefit from a number of new and exciting products that are exclusive to the new platform. The new platform includes non-poker games such as Blackjack, as well as added features to the poker product such as Side Bets and Deal-Making in poker tournaments. Once the fully integrated platform is launched in the first half of 2006, players will then be able to click through and play on PartyPoker, PartyCasino and other new PartyGaming products that are currently being developed, all using a common account and a shared purse.

The skins’ poker players will continue to have full access to the existing poker system. They will also now benefit from the release of several new product enhancements comprising “beginners’ tables” – these include “micro-limit tables” and low buy-in tables – and $50/$100 and $100/$200 tables. PokerNOW.com, which was acquired by the Group earlier in the year, will continue to operate on the existing poker system with the skins.

Commenting on today’s announcement Richard Segal, Chief Executive said:

“We are on track to deliver our exclusive Party-branded integrated platform that will include additional products and services, enabling us to focus on optimising cross-selling opportunities. We believe that today’s development is an important step towards cementing together the inherent strengths of all the Party brands and is in the best interests of our customers and shareholders. In conjunction with this exciting development, we will continue to maintain and support the poker system we provide for the skins.”

In essence, Party cut all of the skins off. It remains to be seen whether or not this was a good move. They can no longer say that they are the largest poker room in the world: that honor now belongs to Pokerstars.

Party will probably buy Empire in the near future, at a much cheaper price due to this aforementioned move.

Party has bought the other skins, eurobet and intertops but so far Empire is not selling...probably due to the fact they want to sue those theives for ruining their buisness......i like poker at party, i play at party but since thet went public they are doing some very underhanded things in order to keep their stock price up...this will be the next Enron ..watch my words

I went check out Intertops last night as I found a rakeback site and they were listed as a particpating site....

About 6 tournies listed, no players, and the cards were so unrealistic that it wasnt funny.
"Playable" hands to everyone seemingly everytime to build the rake.

I flopped nuts flushes twice to get beat by boats...Straights were getting beat, and forget top pair...

Was a total joke....

I used to like Empire's tourny structure, but havent been there in a while, I'm afraid now that they are "on their own", they may have to use the same cheap tactics....

Just a week after announcing it was considering buying Empire Poker, one of its “skin” sites, PartyGaming said last week that it is purchasing the assets, player database, and intellectual property of Multipoker.com, another skin, for $14.5 million. This move comes exactly one month after PartyGaming cut off its formal financial ties to its four skin poker rooms.

PartyGaming is also taking control of IntertopsPoker.com, making it an “affiliate” for the next fifteen months, as well as buying the company’s player database. As an affiliate, Intertops will market PartyGaming’s online poker room, Party Poker, to its customers.

While Party is absorbing or looking to absorb three of its four skins, Empire Poker, Intertops Poker, and Multi Poker, it is completely ending its relationship with the fourth skin, Coral Eurobet. Unconfirmed reports have suggested that Eurobet will be joining the OnGame Network, home of PokerRoom.com. PartyGaming has said that it will help Coral Eurobet in its transition.

Richard Segal, PartyGaming CEO, said: "PartyGaming's business strategy is clear and is being implemented as planned. We now look forward to the launch of the Party-branded integrated platform in the first half of 2006 when we will expand the number of games available to our customers, who will be able to use one account and a shared purse."
