I agree, newsgroups is the way to go for downloading anything and everything, especially if you use RoadRunner for your ISP.

No P2P network is legal...so the answer is no its not legal. Just be sure to not download any Metalica songs or new movies and you will be ok.

Since discovering the live music archive i have had no use to pay for any music. Its 100% free, 100% legal. They have a ton of bands on there but it its skewed towards those bands that allow taping of shows. If you're a greatful dead fan watch out....
Also DimeADozen is a great site with a bit more diversity. You have to use a bit torrent clinent to access, so if you don't know how look around to site or ask me and i'll help. Tons of great music on this site. Enjoy!

ok question about limewire,...is it safe?,...well i had that years ago,...loved it,..had dial up at that time and still loved it,...i did get a virus,....computer totally crashed and that was my number one suspect,......well i now have a new computer and have since not messed with it, but i would love some music downloads,.....is this site safe? or still a risk? whats peoples thought?,..i dont know enough about the sites to say one thing or another,....thanks :icon_conf

I have had it for a few months and I have noticed that the music is ok to download....no virus detection on my computer....but if you download any porn make sure to avoid the ASX or MPG files because they seem to contain the adware that makes pop ups happen....also watch out when downloading programs...some virus could be there...

if you want piece of mind , go to yahoo music .

$ 4.95 a month and you can have as many songs on your computer as you want. you dont own them , its like having a juke box.

for . 77 cents each you can own them.

gotta believe its the safest way to go.

seems like ppl here like limewire...

i was able to download limewire pro off newsgroups...its a $19 program...

go ahead and download it off my site if you like
