This guy might even be the 9th best player in the NHL right now - after Heatley, Alfredsen, Havlat, Spezza, Chara, Redden, Phillips and Hasek.

Yes but out of all those guys how many of them were considered the 9th best player in the league after 20 games. (I know you mentioned all Ottawa players for a reason just wanted to give Crosby some respect)

He is the real thing. No doubt about it.

He lucked out in that he came in the league the very year they tried to open things up, too. 2 year ago, he would have been giving opposing defensemen sleigh rides all over the ice.

Composure would be not taking an unsportsmanlike penalty after getting roughed up. Unbelievably skilled, but still a kid that has a lot to learn. Looks like a GREAT rookie class though.

The new NHL is amazing. I never thought I'd ever say that either.

After getting butt handled in the mouth and face twice with broken teeth and stitched lip and the refs dont call a thing, I think he had a right to complain. Then after all that to get 2 goals and an assist plus the game winner shows what fortitude he has. He is already one of the great ones, and it's only going to get better folks.

EXACLY, he showed incredible compusure... any other kid may have let the situation get to him....

He exacted revenge on the scoreboard, which is where it needs to be...

The penalty he took for complaining was justified & probably served to rally himself & the team....

again, incredible compusure for sure...

I've seen him play live a few times already....

He is even more impressive than on TV, if that is believable.
