mine has to be Thanksgiving. No headaches of buying gifts, excellent food, 4 day weekned, Lion's football for the nation to see, great bar nite the night before. What else can you ask for out of a holiday?
Thanksgiving for me. The fundamental idea of giving thanks and sharing with friends and family without all the commercialization and pressure of shopping and spending. A day of peace and reflection of how blessed we all really are.

Hey, you forgot; the women leave to go shopping that Friday and we get the televisions to ourselves and our sports buddies. As long as they are not using our credit cards, I would say that is one fine deal on the Friday after Thanksgiving.:toast:

when I was a kid of course it was Xmas, but the pressure of gift buying has just become too much.
In that peanuts cartoon I believe it is Linus who says "Christmas is too commercial" as a kid I did not understand what that meant. But I do now. And I think I might just agree with the blanket toting thumb sucking weasel.
As a kid, my favorite was always Memorial Day, because that meant school was just about over. As a "grown-up kid" I would say Thanksgiving for the reasons mentioned above.
Although I must say that Capital One Bowl Weej us a close second.......
