The only potential problem is that many Heisman voters on the East Coast may not be watching this performance. Hopefully, in this day of video recorders and Tivo, that is not a problem. Anyone who is watching this performance has to vote for Bush.

Whormoan, who do you think deserves it since you seem to be so vehemently against Bush winning?

AJ Hawk! Best player in the country.

My point about USC and Bush all along has not been that they aren't good. It's that they are FAR overrated for playing against NON-Competition all year long.
Can they win a bowl game with 5 weeks to prepare? Yes they can, and I will likely back them vs Texas, although I would happily take Va tech +7 vs USC.

But play some competition!

Are we agreed that it's a three-man race (Bush, Leinart, and Vince Young)? I think that Bush is the best player in the country, but the USC vote will likely be split between he and Leinart --- probably giving Vince Young the edge.

Of course, if USC loses tonight (and they just fell behind) and Texas goes undefeated then you can just hand the Heisman to Young.

Take Bush off of USC and they are exactly where they are with him. Take Leinart off of USC and they have lost by now. Take Young off of Texas and they are barely a top 20 team this yr.

I hope the jets lose every game the rest of the year so they can land this kid. He makes the other players look like they are running in slow motion.

Primetime, that's because they are running in slow motion. Not exactly an upper echelon defense he is running against.

Would like to see Reggie play each week in the SEC... than we would have a better feel. I think the Pac-10 is an awful conference overall and especially defensively. That being said I think he is a tremendous athlete.

Couldn't agree more, Public $$$

Brian Westbrook is a very good NFL back (although Andy Reid has no idea how to use him). In fact, Westbrook is probably the best receiving back currently in the NFL --- and Bush would make Westbrook look like a Pop Warner player.

Bush is going to make you look silly Sunday after Sunday after Sunday in the next few years --- and I'll be sure and remind you about how much you missed the boat on Reggie.

Agree. Think USC would lose a game on road in SEC. There may be 2-3 weak home crowds in SEC (by SEC standards), where PAC 10 has 7-8 weak home crowds by SEC standards. Best, most rabid fans in SEC and I'm a die hard Big 8 (that's right old school) fan.

Side note: most physical team in country, imho by far, LSU. Beastly team that wears teams out by mid 3rd qtr on both lines. No Katrina, this team undefeated playing USC for all the marbles--before anyone says so, they were fortunate to beat Auburn(very good team at season's end) but every team that goes undefeated has one or two fortunate wins in a season.
