Does anyone else make errors when wagering on the internet?

Two in a week. Last week I was in a hurry because I caved in under wifely pressure to do something else other than watch football on Sunday. I quickly made a few wagers and then copied the screen and emailed them to myself so I would know exactly what I had bet. (I can read email--and check scores--on my Treo). Halfway to the beach, I realized that I had clicked the KC box instead of the Buffalo box. I lost that one.

Last night, I came in at half time of the Clemson game and popped the laptop up for the sole purpose of hammering both Clemson and Cal at for the second half. I KNOW I did it, but I must not have confirmed it, because I logged on this morning and found no record of my bet online.

It's hard enough to pick winners without somehow screwing up the actual wager!

Allways mess them up the wrong way. If I'm gonna make a mistake could i pick a loser first, then make the mistake.

Sometimes I have a thing where I am betting against a team, so that team is in my mind and I click them by mistake as it wasn't really a BET ON the team it was against it.

What really gets me is if I make a wager for a friend and mess it up.

His bet wins, I book it wrong. I'm out 2 units. I owe 100 to him and am out the 110 to the book ARRRGGGHH. Happenned once.

I agree we all have done it Ill bet a NBA game and then go back and find out that I bet the quater or the halftime time line instead of the game line.

How are books at letting you change your wager if you call them right after you do it ?

Anyone ever try?

For me, it's usually when I'm fading someone on the board here. I write down their pick, log on, and forget to reverse the pick. In all the times I've done this, I've never had a bad pick win.

I was successful ONCE at getting a bet reversed immediately after I made it. I promised I would never ask again, so I never have. Most of the time, when I realize it, it's too late to go the other way and back it up.

They go both ways...you win some and you lose some by making the mistake...

The most bizarre mistake I ever made, I had bet a sunday night game last year, I LOVED the UNDER 35.5 , it was SF at Chi, both offenses were attrocious, I had bet the game very large for me...

The game starts out with a couple quick BS long returns for Td's, and 29 (16-13) points on the board at halftime....I checked my ticket at the half when I was deciding whether to bet the 2nd half when I realized I made a mistake and bet the game over 35.5 ....

I still was concerned at the half becausae the game should have easily went under, to make a long story short I had to sweat the bet out all the way down to the wire as SF scored a TD on another BS play off of a penalty...the entire 2nd half had zero offense!

I made the right call, placed the bet on the wrong side and ended up sweating it out the whole way.

only once i was also in a hurry and trying to place to wagers in a parlay but played the one wager twice of course it lost 2 times

I have done it before a few times. Had a problem yesterday when my bets doubled up, I must have hit the comfirm button twice. Luckily, i caught it in time and Heritage CS were nice enough to give me single bets and cancel the second one on the same teams.

Everyone does, seems they always go against me.

Although 2 weeks ago I made one that swung 4k in my favour.

Actually, I make a lot of "IF" bets. Sometimes I forget to make them "IF" and I end up with 2-3 straight bets. These have worked out for me sometimes because the lead one lost.

After burning myself a couple of times, I have learned to SLOW DOWN and PAY ATTENTION--especially on the confirm screen.

The only time this happened to me was that I added an extra zero to my play. It ended out being a 7 point winner but I felt sick watching the game. Talk about freaking out.

One good thing about betting with a solid local. Usually a lot easier to straighten out this sort of thing.

i usually take out a 5 game parlay against my 5 biggest bets as a little insurance..

around week 3 or 4 i was incredibly hung over and i took 2 of the 5 games the same as my large wagers.. i went 2-3 on my big bets and hit my 5 game parlay..
