After knocking off the red hot Carolina Panthers 13-3 today The Chicago Bears will be much discussed this week all over the country. Bears are now at 7-3 on the season as their D continues to impress.

Carolina's effort was equally bad as the bears was good. Their D line didn't sniff orton and their O line couldn't stop a HS pass rush

I read that the bears have given up only 9 touchdowns this year,,the average is 20 in the nfl......A pretty good D I would say...........G

Bears D is strong really in each aspect. Up front, in the middle and the secondary. Good against run and pass. Force turnovers and make plays. Very good speed and they can make a hit. Principal wekaness is they will give up an ocassional long ball and let a speedy receiver get behind the defense once in a while. Amazing what they've done given the pressure the often inept offense puts on them.

Chris Carter mentioned they were statistically better than '85 bears defense (before today's game). Collinsworth said no way, but time will tell.

I think they are very comparable to the 2000 ravens and 2002 tampa bay teams. Only downside is their embarassing offense. Even Baltimore and Tampa Bay could move the ball, and score some points.

If they get home field advantage, watch out. Remember when Landata with the Giants whiffed on a punt? Or even last week. Lovie Smith is by far and away the best coach in the N.F.C. North. Last week. Green Bay would let the F.G. at the end of the first half just tumble away and be happy it was missed. But Smith instructed his team about the possibility to return it. Great coaching.:103631605

Bears one QB from a Super Bowl.

Oh, it would help Orton greatly if Muhammah didn't drop 2-3 passes every game.

CHICAGO @ TAMPA BAY this week!

These teams have met NUMEROUS times in the past.

Question----Is this the biggest game between these two in their history??

Gosh, would certainly believe that it is.

-FISH-

ps- It looks like MANY RXers will be attending this game.

Bears great D. Orton is a pro already. Had 7-8 drops (one TD drop, maybe two by Musin who was tight against former team) yesterday while completing 58%

Orton was the 7th QB taken in the 2005 draft, just goes to show taking a QB at the #1 pick or high in the first rd usually doesn't mean anything.
