It seems to me that the foundation for gambling is greed. One could say that, when playing cards, its just for fun. However, at least dealing with card-playing, this can be done without putting money on the line. Likewise, would you watch the Packers/Vikings tonight without putting money on it? The tenth Commandment says we shouldnt covet, and this includes others' money. We're not to "work uncleanness with greediness" (Eph 4:19). Prov 15:27 says, "Whoever is greedy for unjust gain troubles his own household." I dont see any logical reason that people gamble except for greed.

When I'm greedy, I LOSE. When I try to find winners carefully and ably, I win most of them. When I'm thinking about the money....I lose. When I'm thinking about the best games on card for various reasons, then I do just fine. Honest to God, greed is bad. Greed and Fear...two things we must fight. tulsa

It's action, it's finding an edge. It's outfoxing people, its a game. Not greed to me. Hope I win more than I lose, but never feel greedy doing it. Some small wins (monetarily) have been better(enjoyment wise) than big ones.
