Bodogs lines are incredibly useful to me. they are skewed for public or square action. makes a good fade.

It would be nice if Bodog dealt the line to customers they show on rx live lines.

Don't bother you might blow up your server trying to figure out what lines certain people are getting. They not only deal dual lines they will deal any line they can get away with to certain people.

Cheater,
Bodog deals dual lines. I asked for the lines dealt to non-braindead people and was told they want the line for squares.

Doesn't make a-whole-lot o'sense to me either, but I'm just doing as instructed.

How about them Bills? Is Mularkey for real with this QB dilemma crap? We're almost as bad as Houston and this assclown isn't sure whether it's a good time to get Losman experience or not.

Lossman is an idiot,,, I want Holcomb back, HOW in the hell cam there be a question as to who the started is and Molarkey is a joke of a coach...Show me molarkey's resume; he has none, he's a yes man, that's the only reason he's the coach....

BoDog uses a dual line. Quite a few complaints from bettors saying the line changes too frequently when trying to confirm a bet. When I say "change", I mean the line moves against them every time.

The square line is of no use. If you win, you get the clone line. But what are you going to do, they pay to advertise here.

Cheater,
Oddly, hearing JP quote Yoda is good for my self-esteem. No matter how bad I mess up there's always one guy in town that's a little stoopiderer than me ;)

I agree with the original poster--it's pretty useless to have Bodog's square line listed. I imagine Bodog wants the square line listed for advertising purposes, but I view this as false advertising on their part.

The same is true for the V-Wager lines. I lasted exactly 12 bets on V-Wager, mostly less than $300 each, before my account got profiled.

I am one of few that actually like BoDog's poker room, I would keep money there just for that reason alone yet sometimes make small wagers if the time arose. However I got so aggitated looking at the RX live lines and seeing numbers that don't exist I finally gave up. You look and see the number so you waste time getting to BoDog's site and logging on only to find out the number doesn't exist for you. It's getting to be more than just dealing dual lines, it's getting to be bad public relations IMO. All I'm asking is to show me what line I can bet at your book!? Be it sharp, square or clown I don't care, just save me the time from trying to guess what my line is, that's the whole reason to be on the line service to begin with.

How would a novice recognize which side is the square one?

I might fall under the adage "If you can't recognize the sucker then you're probably it"

"How would a novice recognize which side is the square one?"

Here is what you do if you have a BoDog account and want to know if they are feeding you the square line: Go to Pinnacle on Sunday afternnon/night and write down the lines for the following weeks games. Days later when BoDog releases their lines, compare it to Pinnacle's. Compare the two lines all the way up to gametime. Pinnacle is the sharp line. If BoDog has inflated lines on the fav. then you have a square line.

For example: If you see Carolina -2½ vs. the Bears at Pinnacle, and at BoDog they have Carolina -3 -115, you are being fed a square line. Caution: as soon as BoDog realizes you are betting with your eyes open, the square line will disappear in a hurry.

Thanks Chuck. Since I am not a complete novice maybe I see the error in paying the -115 for a bad number but assuming the dog comes with a more reasonable price on the +3 why wouldn't even the most novice bettor take it (other than the bias on the favorite)? Does BoDog just assume that people will be more likely to play the favorite regardless of the -115?

Why would you have to go through all the trouble of comparing lines to pinnacle and what not to figure out if you have the square line?

Couldn't you just compare your personal lines at bodog to the lines given on theRX screen? If you try and bet a favorite and it has A)a higher line or B) more juice, then you'd have the square line, right?

i must admit i wish bodog, bos, and v-wager werent on the live lines but it is a free line service and i have to accept what is offered.

the weird part is i dont even have an account with BOS and i cant get the lines that are posted on the "live lines" so i cant fathom ever opening an account there.

it is rare when i can give props to nine.com and betmill but their lines are accurate as best i can tell and that is all i can ask.

when pinny left the live lines i thought i would never use the rx line service again as i thought SBR would pick up the slack.

however, maybe its my PC, but SBR live lines causes my computer to almost freeze on a daily basis and thats not something i can deal with so i stick with the RX feed for now.

the books i put in the most action are pinny, matchbook, cascade, and mansion so the rx lines really dont meet my needs except for giving me a sampling of the market.

right now BOS and v-wager have the lions +3.5 flat and i would open up an account with them and put 500 on detroit but alas when i click on them i only see 3 available on their website, so what is the point of having them considering i dont have an account at either and the lines shown arent available

Phigment, you are not a novice. A novice would not realize he is getting the square line at BoDog. He surely only has one account, knows nothing about Pinnacle or these forums and sends part of his paycheck to BoDog each and every month to BoDog for the entire NFL season.

I love Chuck Sims... Hes right on ! ... and gives me assurance that I'm not the most negative MF left on the planet !

Any newbie would do well following , Chuck, Chuck is an asset, but he won't give a book like an SIA a chance !

Chuck advice is good, you won't get a bad book out of this guy ! Chucky books pay, but he's conservative !
