The announcers ALWAYS talk about this...I always talk about this...just told my gf after the Gonzaga guard hit the two FT's, they should foul at about mid court.

Let Ager shoot the 3....SWISH :smoker2:

I'm impressed with the fact that both teams are perfect from the line..like combined 39 for 39

I think it had to do with a possible 4 pt play. Remember the Larry Johnson shot??????????

OT- Everytime I see Izzo , I think of Bill Bixby...

Then it's surprising Izzo didn't turn into the Incredible Hulk at the end of the game.:lolBIG:

I said the exact same thing at the time...before MSU hit the 3 to tie it. That game sucked bigtime - I needed either friggin team by 1 or 2.

exactly what Mark Few said after the game, its sort of a question of philosophy, but the thing you really want to avoid is the guy going up to the line, make the first, miss the 2nd intentionally and they bat it out to a 3pt shooter who wins the game.

The thing is that often they give the 3pt shooter trying to tie the game at the end too much room, for fear of fouling him and giving up a 4pt play so the guy ends up getting too good a look.

Lots of NBA coaches instruct their players to foul in this situation.

for the same reason teams in football don't let the other team score when the situation dictates itself - like you are trailing by 1 and the team has the ball at your 10 w/2 minutes left. the logcial thing to do is let them score a td so they go up 8 - and you get the ball back - but no coach does this - and they ALWAYS lose the game

coaches don't do this for the 1 time in 10,000 that it happens and they lose the game becasue of it they say, "i told you so" ignoring the fact the other 9,999 times it would work

i saw Bilas with Few and Few is an idiot for saying what he said

MOST of the time the team that hits that last second trey wins the game in OT so not fouling is stupid
