Whydo teams not foul protecting a 3pt lead??

You see this time, and time again. A team winning by 3 lets the opposition get off a three pt shot at the buzzer. Why not foul? Why not protect your lead and the victory? You would think after all these situations that teams would get smart and foul.

Some teams you can foul when losing and still win..ask West Virginia about that one.

guess it's "morally" incorrect....but I would foul every time....would think they would in the nba for the money...still don't????

I would agree if the game had like 3 seconds to go and your up by 3. But its not that easy fouling a guy with seconds to go in the game, you know he's shooting a 3 pointer, and more then likely he will be in motion right away to jack it up. You wouldnt want to be that guy to foul a guy behind the 3 point line. Not at all.
