Many of our troops in the field haven't had a hot meal in months

There was so much premo grubb at my mom's house today that I just wanted to remind folks. I saw a CNN clip on some of our finest that all they wanted was a hot meal. We live the life that only folks in the US can live. Been all over the world and there is no place like home. Will be very glad when they can be home with their families and finally get that Thankgiving meal.

Good reminder Randy.

I'm sure our troops are plenty sick of the MRE's(pre-packaged Meals Ready to Eat) by now. They not only taste bad they block you up pretty good too; I remember going days without taking a dump.

Very ironic thread...

My nephew who recently rotated back from Iraq with the 2nd Infantry Division Stryker Brigade brought a couple MREs to the Thanksgiving Dinner last night.

Most of us took a taste and were neither impressed or disgusted, not exactly gourmet stuff but hardly poisionous.

I still think it had to be better than the powdered eggs my dad ate in Korea and still remembers like a nightmare.

I'm sure that had to make the day more thankful...Jimmy what did the meal consist of?
