I got to walmart at 2:30am was the first one there by 4am there where 100 people in a circle around a pallet of 15 Notebooks...I was right next to the pallet..everyone was talking of how nice there xmas will be and all civilized and stuff...

10 mins until they cut the wrap there are 200 people encased in circle for 15 laptops....I am pinned to the pallet..when they start cutting it becomes a free for all.. I have never witnessed anything so sickening and pathetic as this

I am not a huge guy but 6'1 210 I had my arms on one of the 15 and for 2 mins was stuck in this huge crowd of people trying to bully forward I was holding on to this for dear life ....my arms where stuck UNDER the shrink wrap still and I was being pushed and pulled all over...Finally broke free from it and now have a great laptop the box is a little bent in due to the commotion ...its actually amazing for the price

NEVER again in my life will I do that again people where getting hit and stepped on

PATHETIC:puke1:

thanks SR. I really feel good I got one it is very sweet looking and wireless to boot for 378$

I kid you not when I say as soon as they said cut the tape off it was a free for all mayhem.. ..I had to hold on with all my strength to keep the box I had my arms around....I can not believe how sick people get....I will never be a part of that no matter what the deals are again ..

I heard Screaming and I saw a punch thrown...an older lady had one taken out of her hand by a guy..the sad part is my son was with me and witnessed the mayhem unfold...what a great example for the children

Walmart needs to give you a ticket first come first serve so there is no fighting ..if you have one of the 15 tkts you get a laptop...maybe next year

Well Dante....when Wilma hit South Florida there were only three pump stations open in Dade County, one in Broward.....and personnel had to call the police within the first hour....sad having to see troopers standing by a gas station because people affected by a natural disaster turn into beasts....

Take the bright side of it...at least you got an excellent deal :smoker2:

Dante....My daughter and a friend of my wifes waited outside Best Buy here in 20 degree weather from 10:00pm till 5:00 am...They bundled up and had to sit outside in a line. They were ther for a computer which the store had only 15 computers at this great price. They opened the doors and there were over 400 people in line. They both got there computer, But for me I would rather pay the extra money than do something like that. She said it was complete craziness in the store. A old man got knocked on his ass trying to enter.....Really very sad when you think about it...........G

VERY True G...I had no idea people would get so animalistic as I told myself I would never go to one of these things....but this laptop was a teaser to get everyone in the store

the manager told a few of us before the brawl that walmart lost a SHITLOAD on these laptops...I think he said they paid $500 something for them from HP

I'm sorry it was so bad.

Here is what bothers me....what will people be like when the items in question are important, like water or food in bad times? Someone mentioned the gasoline above. BUT, what if it was nationwide? I'm sorry you saw the worst in people.

Wal-Mart and these stores like Best Buy know what is going to happen, yet they still do these same things without doing like you say and giving numbers or coming up with civilized ways of handing out the promotional deals. However, it is still the customers that act this way and not the stores. I'm ashamed.

On the bright side....that is a GREAT deal on the laptop! tulsa

Well, got EXTREMELY lucky.

Got a 17 inch screen (regularly $1374 laptop for $720 and it is awesome!!

TTinCO or anybody else...............It is a Toshiba Satellite M65-S9065.

What are the pros and cons of this laptop?

For the internet, it is AWESOME thus far..........built-in wireless, lightning fast, and huge screen.

Thanks in advance,

DVD RW is nice

I'm in this business however so my needs and wants are much more intense, What's the warranty?

Lot's of old technology being dumped this X-mas season. Built for a 2/3rd PC, Internet access, a PC for Video/Music control or hooking into your home netwrork ( You DO have one don't you?) these are good buys.

I would never buy something like this as my one and only PC.
