How many phone calls b4 betmill stops

What a joke of a book. They have called me 5 times since I signed up to play in the NBA KOH contest. I didnt deposit any money right now since I have accounts at 3 other places and have no need to put more money into another book.

Dont the people who run that book realize that us bettors DO NOT like being harrassed to put our money somewhere. If we want to deposit then we will make the deposit. Luckily I seen another post about this book doing this earlier and realized they would be calling. I gave them my cell # and it shows up as No Number on my caller id so I know its them calling.

If anyone works at BetMil and sees this please make it a point to have your operators stop calling us and begging for $$$. It doesnt work that way!!!!

BTW, I have dropped out of that NBA Contest because to be associated with a book who still practices calling up people time and again for money isnt my idea of a book I want to play with.

simple ..never give your phone number to any book..never

Dante, books require a phone number when you register (I give them my old cell phone number from when I lived in Kentucky) :toast:

somthing else you can do:

the very first time they call you... tell them that you would NOT like to receive any more promotional phone calls....

they should be able to remove you from their call list

This happened to me also with BetMill. After 5 or 6 msgs. on my machine they finally caught me at home. Told old Fred not to call anymore - haven't heard a word since.

One should be careful using this tactic. At one of the big boys like Pinny or Olympic, I don't see a problem but with many of these marginal books may try and use this as an excuse to slow pay or not play at all.

Thats what i was thinking...

Why dont u simply take 2 minutes, call their toll free number, ask for an account manager and explain that you DON'T want to be called....

Seeing this thread, they dont know who you are...

Let them know you are not wanting to recieve calls...

If that DOES NOT work, come back here and let a mod know, and we will see if we can help....

Bucs, it shouldnt matter who I am...They shouldnt do this period to anyone regardless of who they are. If anyone at Bet Mil reads any of these gambling boards they should know that the players do not like being called and bothered. I shouldnt have to call a book to tell them to quit calling me. Any book should know NOT to call the gambler.

Go2guy, I am in agreement with you. I dont worry about Pinny or MVP doing this since they are 2 big boy books. But smaller books like this one will have an excuse to slow pay or no pay if you dont provide a number.

Guys,

I hate to say this, buy when I ran a bolier room for a book, I had 40 people hitting the phones hard. 300 calls a day for six days a week.They were probably getting between 8-15% in results. It may not sound like much, but millions went into the book every football season.

And I must add, if you do take the time to call the book and speak with a manager, they will remove you from a calling list. They do not want to lose your business.

As a professional telemarketer, I feel for them. It is their job and they work hard to keep it since it is one of the better paying jobs in cr.
